This way to pleasant memories!
It was perfect weather at Grosse
Point Shores Lakefront Park for the Retiree Association's first picnic
endeavor. 67 retirees, friends and spouses arrived and enjoyed Honey
Baked Ham box lunches & refreshments. Old friends and former
co-workers renewed acquaintances and brought themselves up to date on what
others were doing with their retirement lives. John & Nan Flint
brought their organ grinder and provided periodic music and George Istratoff
also led the group in some songs with his harmonica. What a nice treat!
Again, it always surprises Association members what a wide range of interests
and talents our members have to share. The day concluded with some
concern ala Bill Burke when he found out he locked his keys in his car!
Resourceful retirees baled him out however with a coat hanger and a car window
"fishing" expedition.
